     Mojacar is a magnificent Moorish fortress town which stands on a towering crag overlooking a shore with beach after beach of clean sands and sparkling waters.

 It was put on the map by a colony of artists who came here to paint - inspired by the pure Mediterranean light. Today's town has retained much of its original character, with its labyrinth of winding streets, its houses adorned with flower-filled window boxes, and the sudden, unexpected views out over the Mediterranean.
